　This is the lecture to think about a scene of Kyoto. I am interested in the lecture. I think that scenery on Japan and the scenery of Kyoto are different. I want to specialize Kyoto from Japan.

　Speaking of Kyoto,Nishijin brocade traditional culture is famous, but, I want to appeal to you for new Kyoto. Therefore I think that it is good to borrow the power of the new star artist of Kyoto for making scene of Kyoto.

　 Because various intellectuals come for the lecture, I think that there is new discovery for you.

Announcement of event in Kyoto

I announce the event.

"Manabiya art festival" from October 20th to 21th 2007.

the event is performed at the old Rissei elementary school in Kiyamachi.
The event member of the executive committee wants to revivify an elementary school closed down. They gather many people in the elementary school and want to make the elementary school the oasis of everyone.


A design exhibition of the furoshiki ： The designs of the furoshiki are raised, and exhibited.

The lighting of the eco-candle ：19th(Fri) - 21th(sun) / 18:00 - 21:00 .

The making of lacquered bowl ： 14:00 - 17:00 / 20th - 21th / Material cost 3,000 yen - 4,000 yen.

A stippling classroom ： 10:00 - 13:00 / 21th / You carve a soft stone and make a seal. Material cost 500 yen or more.

A drama performance, art, a design exhibition, a symposium are held too. You can talk with many people who live in Kyoto or near Kyoto). I recommend you to participate in the event. The event staff welcomes also the overseas person.

Event ar riverside

An event was on from the 4th day to the 5th day in August. The name of the event is "Kamo-river enjoying the cool breeze".
Stands formed a line along Kamo-river. A lantern was turned on. I thought that it was very beautiful. In the Kamo riverbank, there are a lot of people now on "an enjoying the cool breeze floor". "An enjoying the cool breeze floor" is the riverbank outside the restaurant, and it is to be able to have dinner. Because there was the event, there were more people than useal.

There were a lot of tourists from the foreign country, too. As for "Kamo-river enjoying the cool breeze", "a meeting making Kamo-ribver beautiful" is sponsorship.

Kamo-river drifts to Shijo Kawaramachi of busy streets. It takes Shijo Bridge on the river. The river is outstanding very much in Kyoto. Therefore I want Kamo-river to be beautiful.In addition, I thought that it was local people to meke Kamo river more clean.

I thought that The event is wonderful.

anime EVANGELION

I watched "EVANGELION" of the Japanese animated cartoon. "EVANGELION" is the animated cartoon which is very famous in Japan. The characters of "EVANGELION".

meet each others in Kyoto.

The characters said "all openings is in Kyoto".I heard it, and I became glad because I lived in Kyoto.

I thought that the opportunity when you were interested in　Kyoto was not only the animated cartoon but also this blog.

The movie of "EVANGELION" is shown from September 1, 2007.

The Shop sells crops and breads which are made by owners. The owner recommends soda breads. There are three flavors, ”grain”, ”onion”, ”brown sugar”. And the shop sells also rare soy bean paste, really small onions and garlic. They are good for health. I recommend to go to here to buy ingredient of dinner.

The shop sells porch and belts which are Japanese design. The owner makes few same design goods. Some of them are only one design. And the shop sells also cover of them. You can change the design as you like. The owner said “ people who live in Kyoto are superior to make something new with old things. ”Hiro and Fukuda were not born in Kyoto. And we think so too.

The shop sells bags and earrings made by kimono’s cloths. Some cloths are original, some cloths are used cloths to recycle. You can order original design for you. If you have your kimono’s cloths, kimono’s sashes, and kimono’s aprons, the owner makes goods by them. For example, the owner can make an

aloha shirt with kimono’s cloth. I recommend making goods with

your kimono’s cloth which have

good memories.

The shop sells cute chinawares, for example, bowls and sake bottles.
The owner lives in Nara.
My grand father is owner of antique shop.
I watched a lot of chinawares and I think the chinawares which are sold at Sugawara-Kenta are really nice.
A lot of people go to 手作り市（Hand made market), including the people who don’t live in kyoto.

Kalos sells accessories which are coated with resin.

AsiF and Tmamono sells accessories. Both of the shop owner are really kind. AsiF’s accessories are feminine design.
Tamamono sells Tonbo-dama which is kind of glass. The design is cute.

FLEA MARKET in KYOTO part１

Hi! I'd like to introduce flea market in Kyoto at Chion-temple "手作り市（which means the handmade market)".
I found special goods, for example T-shirts, foods and jewelry. And I met nice people.
I introduce some shops which I found at the market.

☆手作り市（Handmade market)☆
The market takes place every month on 15th.All goods are handmade by craftsmen.

＜プシュ（Pushu） PREZAKA BAGEL＞
Pushu sells bagels.Pushu means“tell" in Portuguese.The owner hopes for everyone to know the bagels.

The bagels are unique, because they do not have eggs and milk and butter.So, they are really healthy.Even if you were allergic to eggs or milk or butter, you can eat the bagels.Of course, they are good taste.

And look the pictures.They are key rings, straps of the cell phone, and so on.They are made in the bagels!!The owner said “they are made in the rest of dough of the bagels.They are dried completely. And I give them a coat of resin.So they never decay.”The goods are also nice.

Tomide sells T-shirts and post cards.Pretty animals are painted on every goods.And the design are about Kyoto.
It is obscure that some T-shirts are about Kyoto.If you didn't know Kyoto well, you can’t notice that the design is about Kyoto.
For examlpe, look the picture. The design is delta in Demachiyanagi in Kyoto. Did you notice it? They are really cute!! Colors, patterns, designs are various. I love the T-shirts of camel.

Kyoto concert hall

I am in Kyoto and am very hot.

I went to the Kyoto concert hall in Kitayama today. I observed the leader class of the music seminar that Seiji Ozawa taught it to. I met Ozawa for the first time. And I was able to meet young and talented students.

This class is special, and you cannot observe the class if you do not apply. I watched the class of Carmen. This hall itself is very interesting, too. In the first floor, there is a spiral long slope to the entrance of the hall. The photograph of many musicians is displayed on the wall.

You please go to listen to music once.

Gion festival

I went to Gion festival .

Gion festival is held in July. The festival is very famous in Japan. Gion festival has been performed for 1100 years. The purpose of the festival is a wish a contagious disease does not be happend.

There are portable shrines at the festival place. How bautiful and big the portable shrines!! On 17th, the portable shines goes on from shijokarasuma to Oike street.
